Unveil the mysteries of female pleasure and reciprocal satisfaction with Miss England’s expert salon, and realise your true erotic potential with lessons in delivering pleasure to yourself and your partner.

Firstly, Miss England will offer expert guidance in the arts of self-pleasure, detailing how an open mind and patience are both imperative to discovering your own erotic drives and desires.

Students of the Salon will then explore how to fully exploit the giving and receiving of pleasure through confidence, creativity and being present in the moment, and discover techniques to banish insecurities and nerves from the bedroom.

Pleasing The Petals also includes tips for choosing the right toys to upgrade your oral sex life.

As Coco de Mer’s resident DreamMaker, Miss England is uniquely qualified to instruct you on how to use sex toys and bondage equipment, and both the novice and more experienced player will leave enlightened.

Talk - What's Law got to do with 'it'*?

Photo by Ben Rosett on Unsplash

HOSTED BY Coffee, Cake & Kisses

A conversation on connections between law and sex.

The discussion will revolve around themes that may stray across consent, family law and its obsession with sex, sexbots, the disruptive power of sex in legal and academic practice, ethics, philosophy and sex.

What to expect?

The conversationalists will be Victoria Brooks and Marc Mason.

Victoria is a writer and researcher on ethics and sexuality. She is interested in sex generally, but particularly in relation to identity, female sexuality, sexbotics, and making philosophy sexier.

Her book Fucking Law: the search for her sexual ethics is out in June 2019 for Zero Books. It can be pre-ordered here: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Fucking-Law-search-sexual-ethics/dp/1789040671

Marc is an academic whose research looks at barristers: he's most interested right now in a project looking at how LGBTQ+ barristers work with their identities and sexualities.

He also used to be a family barrister and is intersted in exploring further the way that law manages to worry really quite a lot about sex.

Cake, hot and soft drinks will be available from the venue. BYO is allowed; corkage applies.

LOVE, SEX & RELATIONSHIPS: A WORKSHOP WITH VIVIAN BROUGHTON

LOVE, SEX & RELATIONSHIPS: A WORKSHOP WITH VIVIAN BROUGHTON

love sex relationships.jpg

HOSTED BY VIVIAN BROUGHTON

Love... what is it, and what is 'healthy' love? Am I capable of loving? How do we know we can love? Can we receive love? What is 'falling in love? How can we understand this primary and primal emotion?

Love infuses our lives and our experiences as much as food and sleep... it is a basic need, and yet for many of us it is also extremely troublesome. We may 'love' inappropriately, be constantly attracted to people who we know are not good for us, continually get ourselves into sticky 'loving' situations, and... also... know that in some way we are constantly looking for a love that we didn't get at the beginning of our lives.

And sex... what is that, and, again, what is 'healthy' sex? Of course we know that sex is about procreation, having babies, perpetuating the species, but our lives seem to be dominated by sex and our sexuality and, for some, our gender. We seem to be a society obsessed with sex and sexuality: getting sex, managing our sexual desires, suffering because of sex... feeling inadequate and finding that often our sexual encounters are not satisfying but confusing.

Do I define myself as hetero, gay, bi, trans? What do these 'categories' mean to me? Most of our advertising uses sex to sell us things... Sex as a commodity. How do we feel about that? And... what is the relationship between love and sex?... Are we naturally monogomous, ie willing to commit to only having sex with one partner for the rest of our lives? And many more questions arise.

And then the subject of Relationships... are my relationships healthy or painful, loving or torturing, satisfying or a constant source of confusion, despair and hopelessness.

These are big topics, and our ability to function well in relation to these issues in Vivian’s view goes right back to the issue of traumatisation, and our experiences of our first relationship... that with our mother and then our father. It is from this earliest time in our life that we gain a sense of our identity, and the identity that is possible from this time then defines our relationship with these issues. Our biography is a biography of the influence of trauma.

This workshop is intended to open up these topics. Perhaps we can find some useful clarity about these issues. We will work with the Intention Method as a means of personal exploration of some of these issues, and there will be time for discussion and sharing.

There are 8 guaranteed working places on these workshops, and if there is time after that there will be a ballot for further opportunities to do a personal exploration. If participants take up this opportunity they will be required to pay the extra £80.

Please be aware that these workshops may involve emotional experiences as the underlying topic is the exploration of personal trauma.

If you are new to this work you might like to read some of the posts on Vivian’s blog, a good starting book is Becoming Your True Self which Vivian wrote for her clients.

GLASS HALF FULL EVENT SERIES: SEX, SEXUALITY & CEREAL

GLASS HALF FULL EVENT SERIES: SEX, SEXUALITY & CEREAL

Sex Sexuality & Cereal.jpg

HOSTED BY WAX/ON

Glass Half Full is a series of events presented by Wax/On that focuses on the contentious issues within our industry through an optimistic lens, making the absolute most of what’s possible in our world. Sessions will be short and snappy, with an interesting mix of industry names and commentators as well as inspirational speakers from outside the industry echo chamber to provide a different take on our topics.

We are in the midst of a shift in gender politics that’s happening at a bigger scale and pace than any societal change in history. For brands and media businesses one thing is clear: toxic masculinity and the male gaze no longer have a place in advertising.

Our ideas must still sell, entertain or educate but now they must credibly represent rapidly updating social norms, from the acceptance of gender and neuro diversity to the eradication of sexism and homophobia.

Brands have both a responsibility and an opportunity to drive tolerance and empathy through their messaging, while not taking themselves too seriously.

As we explore how to strike that balance we are joined by a trio of brilliant creators, marketers and top-class industry experts. Alongside Ben Hooper, Creative Partner & Co-Founder of Wax/On will be Tanja Adams, Founder at Another Production, Jonathan Durden, Co-Founder of PHD & Below the Belt Grooming and Chairman at Connexi, and Mimi Turner, former Marketing Director at Ladbible & CMO of Wireless Group.

Join them for what promises to be a lively and interesting debate with their exciting panel.

Any questions, drop them a line: hello@wearewaxon.com.
