Penhaligons
For nearly 150 years Penhaligon’s fragrances have been enjoyed by some of the most illustrious and influential names in history. From its origins as the Royal Court barber and perfumer in the 1870s, to its current status as an internationally recognised name, Penhaligon’s continues to create some of the finest fragrances in the world of perfumery. Dominic Collingridge, International Education Manager and Brand Ambassador will be discussing how storytelling, craftsmanship and British heritage are crucial to the brand’s ever evolving legacy, and how a sensitivity to its past, whilst living very much in the present, has ensured the continuation of a brand known to and loved by generations of customers.
Halcyon Days
For over 65 years, Halcyon Days has served as the guardian of the art of enamelling on copper, with each piece handmade by a team of highly-skilled craftsman and master artists who employ refined techniques that have been handed down generations. Pamela Harper, Chairman & CEO, will be present to discuss the importance of promoting, cherishing, developing and maintaining British craftsmanship whilst becoming an internationally recognised destination for luxury gifts.
Barnard & Westwood
Founded in 1921, Barnard & Westwood fine printers & bookbinders specialise in combining traditional skills with modern technology to produce beautiful stationery and hand finished books. In our digital age, the tactile art of print and paper has taken on a new level of importance with a particular focus on the bespoke. Barnard & Westwood will discuss the history of their now 100% employee-owned business along with the range of artisan skills they keep alive to this day.
