Nestled in the heart of London beneath Chancery Lane, the London Silver Vaults are home to the largest retail collection of fine antique and contemporary silver in the world. One of the most unique underground shopping destinations in the capital, the Vaults are home to over 30 specialist shops, each one a treasure trove of wonderfully crafted antiques and silver items from around the world, dating from the 1600s to the present.
Known as the home of silver shopping, the Vaults have sold to private buyers, collectors, decorators, the international trade, Royalty and stars from the stage and screen, including Sir Steve Redgrave, Liberace, Anthony Hopkins and Twiggy over its 60 year history; also providing all of the silver props for the filming of Downton Abbey. All of the vault owners are independent retailers and many are third generation family businesses, with a fount of expert knowledge and rich history. The Vaults are a destination in their own right, and cater for all occasions and budgets; offering silver, old Sheffield Plate and silver gilt tableware, cutlery, gifts, jewellery and special collectors’ items.
What to expect?
This evening promises a night of festive fun in unique surroundings in the heart of London, coinciding with the switch on of Chancery Lane's beautiful Christmas lights.
The London Silver Vaults opens its doors after-hours only a couple of times a year, so this really is an exclusive opportunity to explore one of London's most prized hidden emporiums. Come along from 6pm to enjoy some drinks, canapés, and music, as well as the chance to browse and purchase, with the traders offering special discounts of up to 20% on purchases. Discover an underground treasure trove, shop to your hearts content, and enjoy a night of entertainment, socialising, and getting into the festive spirit.
For some extra temptation, there will also be an exclusive 'treasure hunt', whereby guests will be sent on a mission to find as many of the special items detailed on their card that will be hiding somewhere in the labyrinth of vaults. Find 6 or more listed items, and you will be entered into a competition to win £300 to spend at the Vaults!
