When it comes to sprucing up your house and health, spending a little green on greens can go a long way. It’s not just about improving your indoor aesthetic. Even if you don’t normally notice a plant’s presence, seeing a plant can subconsciously make you feel calm and relaxed.

A lot of research has gone into the benefits of plants and human health. Studies have mixed results about the benefits, ranging from increased productivity in the workplace to only benefits for men or women. But none of these studies have found evidence of negative outcomes to having indoor plants.

    Plants increase the humidity indoors through a process called transpiration. House plants reduce your chance of developing a cold, sore throat or a dry cough.

  3. They can raise your IQ (seriously)

    According to Scientific American, indoor plants can actually make you smarter. Natural foliage can help regenerate our directed attention capacity. A study showed subjects in a room with plants fared better at cognitive tests.

  4. they can help you heal quicker

    The National Library of Medicine studied 90 patients recovering from a hemorrhoidectomy procedure. Those placed in rooms with plants had lower post-operative blood pressure, less pain, and decreased anxiety than those not in the company of plants.

These little guys really are tough! So they make the perfect plant for newbies! They grow in any type of soil, just make sure its drained-soil and water them occasionally. Keep them in a bright room but away from direct sunlight and they will flourish! Your spider plant will purify the air in your home and/or office by absorbing carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and xylene!

Peace Lilies

These are very popular house plants as they are easy to grow and once in bloom flower beautiful white lilies. Peace lilies also have a way of showing you when the are in need of extra love, they droop when they need water and if they droop every three days it usually means they need to be repotted! They enjoy humidity so misting their leaves will make them happy. They are well known for being one of the best houseplants to purify and cleanse the air in your home!

Snake plant

These plants are very trendy and really bring a room to life! biggest tip for these guys is make sure you don't over do it with the watering! Killing with kindness seems to be our biggest problem - The snake plant works best at night for purifying the air in your home, whislt you’re asleep they will be removing toxin from the air! Remember snake plants don't like too much water...
